The status of Imagine Dragons as the biggest rock band in the world was probably already assured, but the success of “Natural”cements it. The fiery stand-alone single, which positively seethes with rage, is currently sitting at number one on US iTunes after the release of a surprisingly gothic video. It begins with Dan Reynolds perched on a chair in a decaying southern mansion (in full period regalia) and becomes increasingly creepy from there with hands extending from a grave, scary kids and a Slenderman-type figure.
It’s still unclear is “Natural” is from an upcoming rerelease of 2017’s mega-successful Evolve or the first taste of a new project. However, it seems like there is still a lot of life left in the album. For starters, the opus is still in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 more than a year after release and they have only rolled out four singles from it including the smash hits “Believer,” “Thunder” and “Whatever It Takes.” Watch the elaborate video for “Natural”
